This week, my oldest son turns 7. During those 7 years, I’ve worked out of my home as a freelance writer and content marketer. Like most people, I started on the quest to work from home when I was pregnant with my first child because I really didn’t want to put him in daycare but financially – we needed my income. It wasn’t always easy and we made some sacrifices to make it happen, but I fully believe it was the best choice for our family.

Working from home requires that a person stay focused and have good time management skills. It’s natural to think that once you’re working from home, everything will magically run smoothly because you are in the home all of the time. But it quickly becomes obvious that unless you are sticking to a schedule, you will [...]

This article comes to us from Gabriela Michelle, about how she reeled in her family’s finances and made it possible to become a stay-at-home mom. Since we’re stay/work at home moms, too, we thought these tips were great and wanted to share them with you. You might be surprised at the possibility of living on [...]
