Business Description:

Kimberly Davis has created one of those incredible products that make moms slap themselves in the head and say ‘why didn’t I think of that?’ The Hugga-Bébé  website describes the Hugga-Bébé product as “a patent-pending, innovative product that allows children 4-months to toddler years to experience comfort and security while playing in activity centers, jumpers, walkers, and park bucket swings. Hugga-Bébé’s unique wrap-around design literally hugs your baby making those “one size fits all” seats really fit. Hugga-Bébé solves the problem of stuffing pillows, blankets, towels, etc. around your child during playtime to keep them supported. Parents love Hugga-Bébé’s simple to use adjustable design that will grow with your child, allowing it to be used throughout their development. “

Kimberly Davis was working full time job when she made the jump to becoming an entrepreneur. She is also a wife and a mother of two little girls, 11 and 3. while the change wasn’t a piece of cake, Kimberly feels strongly about her role as a positive role model for her daughters, especially the oldest. She works to instill in the girls that a woman can do anything, that the sky is the limit. It’s important they see me as a business woman.

For Kimberly, finding balance working in the home has been tough. There are still times that she finds herself working non-stop because she doesn’t know when to stop, working all hours of the night. However, finding balance remains a priority and occasionally requires letting things go to the way side. She admits to doing a lot of take out and that her house may not be as picked up as it used to be. She also is concerned that her time with her family isn’t where it should be. Part of that solution is to get her mind set on her work priorities and use a list to accomplish what needs to be done. With Hugga-Bébé’s success does come with a lot more things to do. Kimberly states “I wish someone would have sat down with me and told me how much time this would take out of my already busy life. I wish someone would have told me the do’s and don’ts of running a business.”

As for the advise Kimberly would dole out to other up-and-comers, she says “I would tell them never to look back and always focus o the what is in the future, what is ahead for them. Look at all the positives of doing what you love. Remember too that Rome wasn’t built in a day, but all that hard work made such a beautiful day.”

Thanks Kimberly for sharing your story. We love the product and wish you all of the success you deserve!
