I would like to add that we all need solid goals. Not only in our paid work, but also with our housework. Just as you mentioned, a schedule is awesome. I use a scheduling program that has reminders, so I put my vacuuming and laundry on the schedule, as well as meetings, etc. This way I know I will accomplish what I want each day.

I’ve been working at home for a few years now and I’m still not following all these suggestions… but I should be. It’s tough balancing it all… I can’t even keep on top of my laundry.

Wow, I wish I read this years ago. I’m a work at home mom and boy there were difficult times keeping things in line and getting anything done at all.
Great list, I can only agree. You have to be organized, but the payoff is wonderful.
