Today We Lost a Client

So far, the writing business of Trifecta Strategies has not been affected at all by the economy. In fact, we’ve really begun to thrive more as a result of the economy, to which I can only assume is because more people are starting their own businesses and therefore hiring writers and content marketers like us to help them run it. Today though, we lost a client.
Now, this client was worth quite a bit of cash on a weekly basis to us. If we stop to think about the loss of money, we might get a little concerned. We don’t though, because we have never had a problem replacing clients or income when circumstances change. Instead of crying over the loss of funds, we’re celebrating!
It opens the door to new opportunities that we would have overlooked before because we didn’t have the time to do them. It means we can spend time promoting Tisha’s novel, which has just gone to the publishers and will be available on Amazon shortly…. it means more time on a few side projects we’ve started but have yet to finish – still completely underwraps from the public eye!
… and it means we have time to take a step back and contemplate the business. Where are we now, where do we want to shift our focus and direction for the next growth spurt, and how we can get things in place now to make each transition easier in the future.
I think one of the keys to success as a self-employed individual; regardless of what your business does, is to be accepting of change. The moment you start expecting everything to stay “the way it is”, is the same moment that you fall apart when things change (which they always do). Accepting change… in fact, looking forward to change as the stepping stone to BIGGER and BETTER things, is something the three of us have discoved we share. And I really believe it’s why we’re growing so quickly in our business, and enjoying every moment of it.
