Happy Halloween…Now Go Brush Your Teeth
Posted by Tisha Tolar on October 31, 2008
Happy Halloween! It’s been a frightenly good week, workwise. The writing goblins have been on my
shoulders every day and enabled me to complete hours of writing -while almost completely focused. We went trick or treating and now have enough candy to last until Valentines Day. And the child is sufficiently wound up with all the fun stuff going on.
It’s great to have a good week of work but they definately are not all like that. It has been a good two years to finally get into a rythym or daily work/home life, as I have mentioned in previous posts. But the rewards are plentiful – as was the case today when I was able to see the kid’s first grade Halloween parade at school. I felt proud listening to all the moms complaining about having to take off work today. I realize a little more each time that not everyone is cut out for a self-employed set up. Not everyone can survive the kind of life I lead. Sometimes, in the beginning, I wondered if I could survive it. But alas, I am still here and promoting it no less!
I hope you all have a great trick or treat night. Stay safe. When you are walking around the neighborhood, enjoy every moment with your kids. You may not get too many more moments where they want to be with you. I am learning that lesson already and my kid is only 6. Have a great weekend and let ‘em have a few extra candies after dinner!
Peace out!
